Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Naima Muntal is a University of Oregon senior, double majoring in biology and environmental science. With the original career goal of veterinary medicine, her interests have transitioned to more environmentally focused studies. She is not certain what post-college life holds for her, but her hopes include graduate school, the Peace Corps, and running her own photography business.

 

Julia Huxtable is a fourth year Environmental Studeis major also obtaining a minor degree in business. Her interests include local habitat preservation and restoration, and renewable energy, including wind power. Originally from the east coast, Julia has lived in Oregon for 10 years now and enjoys hiking and swimming in local rivers. After graduation in 2007 she hopes to intern with a local nonprofit organization to network and find her niche in Eugene or possibly somehwere in Humboldt county.

 

 

Project manager: Bari Doeffinger is a first-year Master's student inEnvironmental Studies. Before arriving in Eugene, she worked for the Student Conservation Association as an environmental education intern in northeastern Mississippi, and as a naturalist for three summers in the Finger Lakes State Parks of New York. Bari's studies revolve around environmental education, communication, cultural geography, and the use of culture to promote environmentally responsible behavior.
